Nike Golf Tour Staff Member Suzann Pettersen Wins the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open Using Nike E-mail

Pettersen's Victory is her First Since Joining Nike Golf Earlier This Year

Just four months after switching to Nike Golf equipment, Suzann Pettersen already has claimed her first professional title of the season at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open on the Ladies European Tour (LET). Pettersen, currently ranked third in the women's world rankings, produced a new 54-hole tournament record of 22-under par.

Using Nike Golf's CCi Forged irons and the new Nike ONE Black Ball featuring Power Transfer Technology, Pettersen is ranked fourth in greens in regulation in just eight starts on the LPGA Tour in 2008. Pettersen is one of the longer hitters on the LPGA Tour averaging 265 yards off the tee using Nike's SUMO 5000 driver. "I really like the ball flight I'm getting with the combination of my Nike SUMO 5000 driver and ONE Black ball," said Pettersen. "Since switching to my new Nike driver, I'm seeing a lot of improvement in my driving accuracy stats over last year."

So far in 2008, Pettersen's driving accuracy is 71% - up from 63% in 2007 prior to switching to Nike Golf.

Pettersen's victory brings to 11 the total number of wins by Nike Golf athletes in 2008 (five international wins and six on the PGA Tour).
