Milled from 1025 carbon steel and tungsten to yield a low, deep center of gravity resulting in a rare combination of beauty, technology and performance.Image

  • Multi-Material Construction has 1025 carbon steel body and weighted tungsten flange creates a low, deep center of gravity to promote true roll.
  • Precision Milled Head creates optimal balanced weighting to promote a great feeling stroke and amazing accuracy.
  • Hogged-Out HoselT removes weight from the hosel and allows it to be redistributed to the tungsten flange, creating a low, deep CG and a truer roll.
  • Urethane Dampening Layer between the tungsten and carbon steel dampens vibration at impact to produce enhanced feel.

TaylorMade Golf Introduces Rossa Itsy Bitsy Monza Spider

TaylorMade® Golf has introduced the Rossa® Itsy Bitsy Monza® Spider, a midsize mallet putter designed to perform much like the Monza Spider

As its name suggests, the Itsy Bitsy Monza Spider is smaller than the original Monza Spider. It was created at the request of tour pros who wanted a midsize Monza Spider that, like the original, is extremely forgiving, easy to aim and delivers excellent roll. However, the Itsy Bitsy is for a different type of player than the Monza Spider.*

At first glance the Itsy Bitsy Monza Spider looks just like the Monza Spider, only smaller. Look closely, though, and you'll see two visual differences. 1) The "wings" (where the MWT® cartridges are located) of the Itsy Bitsy have been pulled inward and don't protrude out to the sides as much. 2) The alignment aid is an abbreviated version of the original. Whereas the decal on the Monza Spider is referred to as "full-court alignment" (alluding to the lines on a basketball court), the alignment aid on the Itsy Bitsy is called "half-court alignment."Image

The Itsy Bitsy Monza Spider delivers an MOI measurement of 5505 (g-cm2), making it extremely stable and forgiving.

The TaylorMade Rossa Monza Spider putter design and appearance are so strikingly different as TaylorMade engineers Imagefocused on giving the Monza Spider increased stability and forgiveness. To increase the TaylorMade Rossa Monza Spider’s forgiveness, TaylorMade engineers had to increase its moment of inertia (MOI). They found three key ways to accomplish that by using a steel wire-frame head construction similar to that used in the Monza Corza, which allows them to position increased weight at the perimeter, adding stability on miss-hits that helps the putter head resist twisting when impact is made toward the heel or toe. Also a light and strong aluminium core that allows more weight to be positioned on the perimeter, increasing MOI and the TaylorMade Rossa Monza Spider’s “wings,” into which Movable Weight Technology (MWT) cartridges are inserted, allow substantial weight to be concentrated in areas far from the face, helping to move the centre of gravity (CG) rearward, which increases MOI and stability. Of course, another benefit of the Monza Spider’s MWT is that it also gives players the option to customize its feel by changing the weights to make the putter head heavier or lighter and/or to change the putter’s balance.

» Steel wire-frame head construction with light aluminum core pushes increased weight to the perimeter, boosting MOI to promote remarkably consistent distance on off-center hits

» Movable Weight Technology® (MWT) allows substantial weight to be concentrated in areas far from the face, shifting the center of gravity far rearward for increased MOI and stability

» AGSI®+ Technology insert with 14 tightly positioned grooves promotes more efficient forward spin for a smoother roll
