TaylorMade Golf TV Spot With New R9 SuperTri Driver And PGA Tour Pro Sean O'Hair Set To Debut On CBS |
Carlsbad, Calif. (April 15, 2010) - TaylorMade Golf Company is scheduled to debut a new TV commercial promoting its new R9™ SuperTri driver this Saturday during CBS coverage of the Verizon Heritage. The 30-second commercial stars PGA Tour professional Sean O'Hair, a member of the TaylorMade Tour Staff, and conveys the technological advancements of the R9 SuperTri while reinforcing TaylorMade's position as the No. 1 driver in golf. The spot will air through the end of July on CBS and The Golf Channel. The R9 SuperTri TP is the No. 1 driver model on the PGA Tour through the first 14 weeks of 2010; 191 have been put in play. Through the Masters, a total of 740 TaylorMade brand drivers have been put in play on the PGA Tour, which is more than Cleveland, Callaway, Nike and Ping combined. The R9 SuperTri and R9 SuperTri TP are the first drivers to combine Flight Control Technology (FCT) and Movable Weight Technology™ (MWT®) in a 460cc head, resulting in an exceptional combination of adjustability, power and forgiveness packaged into a stunning, all-black clubhead. "We used Sean in this commercial to symbolize the many tour professionals who quickly chose to put the R9 SuperTri in their bags," said Bob Maggiore, vice president of brand and product marketing. "Why? Because it gives them a higher level of performance while at the same time delivering TaylorMade's legendary combination of technology, look, feel and sound. The spot integrates a very cool look at Sean's swing as well as the optimization elements that make the R9 SuperTri the No. 1 driver model on the PGA Tour and that's what we want viewers to take away from this spot." |

KZG Introduces The X95 Wedges |
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (April 14, 2010) - KZG, the #1 Custom ProLine™, has released the X95 Wedge designed specifically for the mid-to-high handicap player. The X95 has a single notched sole and is available in eight different loft and bounce combinations. "KZG is all about custom choices. The X95 Wedges are one of the best looking designs on the market and were engineered to be custom fit specifically for the weekend player," reports Jennifer King, President of KZG. "The soft sound and feel plays like a forged wedge but at a much lower price." The head is constructed from KZG's heat-treated proprietary steel alloy giving it a "feel of forged" not typically found in cast clubs. This soft feeling is ideal for those delicate and tricky shots around the green. KZG's proprietary alloy enables easy lie and loft adjustments up to four degrees. The lightly cambered leading edge and wide selection of bounce options assures consistent contact in both hard and soft turf conditions. The X95 is KZG's first wedge to feature a medallion piece and beautifully complements the popular OC-II and HSS Irons. The single notched sole allows the player to open and close the club face without altering the bounce. The X95 grooves are "U" shaped, thus creating higher spin rates ideal for mid-to-high handicappers looking for increased accuracy. Golfers looking for a KZG wedge with the new USGA conforming "V" grooves should opt for the special edition Forged TRS. The X95 wedges are available in RH: 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°/12, 56°/8, 58°, 60°/10 and 60°/4 lofts and LH: 52°, 56° and 60° lofts. They are only available in a mirror finish. The MSRP is $109 |
