Joins Existing Driver, Fairway Woods and Irons to Complete the r7 CGB MAX Family

CARLSBAD, Calif. (March 26, 2008) – TaylorMade Golf, the world leader in metalwood sales, has introduced the r7® CGB MAX Rescue®, a technologically superior hybrid that rounds out the r7 CGB MAX line of clubs.

The r7 CGB MAX Rescue

Similar to the r7 CGB MAX driver and fairway woods, the r7 CGB MAX Rescue hybrid features a triangular-shaped clubhead that allows for an extremely low and deep-back center of gravity location (CGB stands for "center of gravity back") that makes it incredibly easy to launch the ball high and long, and which helps to boost the clubhead's MOI and stability on off-center hits.

SuperFast technology, consisting of a lightweight grip and ultra-light RE*AX® SuperFast 55-gram graphite shaft by Fujikura, promotes faster swing speed for increased distance. Distance is also enhanced by the shallow clubface construction, which promotes increased spin to keep the ball in the air longer.

"The r7 CGB MAX Rescue hybrids are like every other club in the r7 CGB MAX line," said Tom Olsavsky, TaylorMade's senior director of metalwood creation. "They incorporate every relevant performance technology we have to maximize its ease of use. We like to say that they're easier to hit than your 7-iron."

The r7 CGB MAX Rescue Ladies

r7 CGB MAX Rescue hybrids are available in men's 3 (19°), 4 (22°) and 5 (25°). 3 and 4 are available in left-handed. Shaft flexes include S, R and M. Women's r7 CGB MAX hybrids come equipped with a RE*AX® SuperFast 45-gram graphite shaft in L flex, and are available in 4 and 5 (no left-handed). Availability begins at TaylorMade's retail partners in April at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of US$240 per club.
