Overland Park, KS, May 2, 2012 – Bushnell Outdoor Products, #1 in Electronic Measuring Devices for Golf, today introduced the NEO+ Golf GPS Watch, extending its market dominance in the category. With sky-rocketing demand for wrist-mounted devices, the NEO+ Golf GPS Rangefinder Watch is an easy-to-use GPS rangefinder, with instant measurements for golfers in a simple, lightweight form-factor.

“With the widespread acceptance of the original NEO GPS, we wanted to provide consumers with another exceptional GPS option that would provide extra benefits at an affordable cost,” said Terry Mears, Product Director at Bushnell. “While we may be known for our dominant laser rangefinders, at Bushnell we pride ourselves on producing industry-leading products that will give golfers the ability to enhance their game. We know that the new NEO+ watch will be extremely popular.”

The NEO+ Golf GPS Watch is the latest product to join the Bushnell family of devices offering Distance Made Simple. The lightweight watch is simple to operate and comfortable to wear, giving golfer’s accurate front/back/center and shot distance measurements on 25,000 preloaded courses with no membership fees, more than has have ever been made available via GPS.

While other GPS watch devices run out of battery after just one round, the Bushnell NEO+ Golf GPS Watch allows golfers to play three rounds or over 14 hours without needing a recharge. Additionally, when the product is functioning solely in watch mode, the battery can last over 12 months.

The NEO+ Golf GPS Watch is capable of instantly recognizing courses and has an auto hole advance feature which automatically changes from one hole to the next. This great feature means that the golfer does not have to push another button for the rest of the round.
Product features include:
Front/Center/Back distances with large, easy-read numbers
Shot distance calculator
Non-golf features, including watch, odometer, timer and alarm
Over 14 hours battery life in GPS mode
Over months battery life in Watch mode
25,000 preloaded courses
No membership fees
Waterproof to a depth of 30m

The NEO+ Golf GPS Watch will be available at Bushnell retailers nationwide beginning in May, with a retail price of $199.95.

Bushnell, the #1 choice of professional golfers, offers a full range of rangefinders, which continue to change and improve the way golfers assess distances, ultimately improving performance.

Pre-Tournament Adjustment to RAZR Fit Driver Leads to First Professional Win – One for Luke’s bucket list

CARLSBAD, Calif., April 30, 2012 – Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) Staff Professional Luke List used his remarkable driving distance to blow by the field and win his first career professional title on Sunday at the Nationwide Tour’s South Georgia Classic Presented by First State Bank and Trust Company. List, a 27-year-old graduate of Vanderbilt University who uses a full bag of Callaway equipment, won by two shots while averaging 329 yards off the tee with his Callaway RAZR Fit driver and HEX Black Tour golf ball. He shot 67-68-69-68 to finish the tournament at 16-under-par. Over the final two rounds, he averaged an unbelievable 346 yards off the tee on the Nationwide Tour’s longest course (7,781 yards). “It feels fantastic,” List said after his win. “It’s hard to describe. People always say it hasn’t really sunk in yet and I think that’s the case.”

In addition to his RAZR FIT driver (8.5 degrees) and HEX Black Tour golf ball, List uses a RAZR Fit 3-Wood, an X-Tour 2-iron, RAZR X Muscle Back irons (4-9), X-Forged Wedges (48, 52, 56 and 60 degrees), and the Odyssey White Hot XG #7 belly putter.

“I made an equipment change leading into this year, and to drive the ball as far as I have been driving it and get the scoring around the greens with the golf ball that I’m using, I really feel that I have an advantage on other players,” List added. “When you make these changes during your career and have the results of solid play and a win, it makes you feel good about your progress.”

Prior to the tournament, List worked with Callaway’s Nationwide Tour Rep to make a slight change to his RAZR Fit driver-Callaway’s first fully adjustable driver, which features an adjustable cog that allows players to adjust the face angle and movable weights that alter ball flight characteristics. List asked the Callaway rep to open the face of his driver slightly, so the two made a small cog adjustment prior to his practice round early in the week. The results were obvious; with List’s caddie reporting back that Luke was bombing the driver.

For the season, List is using his RAZR Fit driver to lead the Nationwide Tour in average driving distance at 323 yards, 10 yards longer than the next longest hitter. With the win, he moved into second place on the Nationwide Tour’s Money List.

“Since Luke joined the Callaway family at the beginning of the 2012 season, we’ve worked hard to complement his impressive talent with the right clubs to fit his game,” said Nick Raffaele, Vice President, Global Sports Marketing, Callaway Golf. “He has tremendous upside as a young professional and this win demonstrates that Callaway and Luke have the right game plan for more future success.”

List is one of a handful of young players on the Callaway tour staff that has shown impressive results in 2012. Just last week, the Company announced the signing of reigning U.S. Amateur Champion Kelly Kraft, who made his professional debut at the Valero Texas Open. In recent years, the Callaway PGA Tour staff has added 25-year-old rookie Sang-Moon Bae from Korea, 2008 U.S. Amateur Champion Danny Lee, 2011 Nationwide Tour Money List winner J.J. Killeen and 2007 U.S. Amateur Champion Colt Knost.

HONMA is pleased to introduce an iron that maximizes development by merging cutting-edge technology and materials. The IS-02 is HONMA’s most technically advanced forged irons that combine high ball speed performance and HONMA craftsmanship for longer distance and better feel. Long and middle irons are designed with the new L-shape structure for higher trajectory and distance performance. The kickback of the entire face increased due to the spreading and winding of the face to the lower area. Short irons are designed with the new 3D weld for feel and stability. The faces of the #4-8 iron are engineered with an L-shape for deeper and shallow centers of gravity, and distance performance is maximized by increasing the shallow area of the face kickback. Faces of the #9-SW are engineered with a 3D weld for maintained distance stability and feel for crucial short game control. Face material was engineered with high kickback Japanese SAE 8655 revised steel for excellent tensile strength and stretch.

The ARMRQ6-49 gram shaft is the standard production shaft for the IS-02. They can be ordered with the ARMRQ6-45, 54, 62, 70 and 75 gram shafts by made to order only. The ARMRQ six-axis carbon shaft is a Honma first, which restores itself at a higher rate, bringing a new level of carry performance for all golfers. The head quickly returns to the perfect position at impact. This design makes it easier to hug the ball for increased carry distance. Design features of the shaft are comprised of combining six carbon fibers, in diagonal directions at 30°, 60°, 120° and 150° in addition to vertical direction at 0° and horizontal direction at 90°, the six-axis carbon shaft controls crushing rigidity and minimizes energy-wasting deformation that can occur during the golf swing. The shaft regains its original shape with greater accuracy and brings the combination angles closer to a circle and enables the shaft to handle the force from all directions. The high restoration power of six-axis carbon has increased carry performance and enabled the development of a longer shaft.

HONMA’s eternal pursuit is to create the perfect club. No compromises. No derivatives. We represent our strength in product development, innovation, and passion to create the best golf club. We do not follow only tradition to create one of a kind clubs, but our dream is state of the art integration with innovation. To bring the best performance out of every club, we must use innovation to its fullest for better distance, direction, and precision. This only occurs when the craftsman’s art and sensibilities are developed in a product, in turn creates a connection with what the golfer wants. Our vision of advancement in club performance is always how we deliver the golfer’s dream and passion for the game.

MOBILES TO BE ALLOWED AT 2012 OPEN

23 April 2012, Royal Lytham & St Annes, England: Mobile phones will be permitted at this year’s Open Championship with spectators able to keep up-to-date with all the action thanks to a host of official smartphone apps.

Since 2006, mobile phones have not been permitted throughout The Open venue for the entire week. However, at Royal Lytham & St Annes this July, spectators will be able to carry their phones, with calls allowed in designated areas.

Photography and video recording will still not be permitted during Championship days although spectators will be allowed to check their smartphones from the course and in grandstands, and so they will be able to keep up-to-date with live scores, course guides, video, live action and much more from the official Open Championship apps.

“There is no denying the attachment people feel to their mobile phones both in terms of gathering information and staying in touch with family and friends. We understand this and allowing their use at the Championship will enrich The Open experience,” said Peter Dawson, Chief Executive of The R&A.

“We are offering spectators access to an enhanced range of apps for Android, iPhone and iPad that will offer live video of play and other attractions at The Open and will keep them up-to-date with essential Championship information including scoring, tee times, news and an interactive course guide.”

Spectators will have restricted use of their phones and will be limited to making calls in designated areas around the tented village and food and drink outlets. Strict rules will be put in place designed to ensure that play is not affected in any way by the change.

Dawson added: “We understand there will be concerns over this change in policy but will be liaising with spectators at the Championship to ensure calls are not taking place near play. Our spectators are very knowledgeable and understand golf, and so we are confident they will respect the players.”

SAN DIEGO, CA – April 18, 2011 – Graphite Design, maker of some of the most widely played premium golf shafts on the PGA TOUR, introduces the new G Series hybrid golf shafts incorporating X Directional Technology (XDT).

The G Series hybrid shaft with X Directional Technology is the next generation of premium Graphite Design shafts and is designed to be very adaptable to today’s vast hybrid head technology. The G Series hybrid shaft performance characteristics favor a mid-high launch trajectory and mid ball spin.

“We pride ourselves in developing premium golf shafts that require new technologies that are tested and proven on professional golf tours,” said Tak Yamada, President, Graphite Design. “Our new XDT technology was designed with that philosophy in mind and we expect to see more and more tour players switching to our new G Series shafts.”

Graphite Design’s latest XDT technology incorporates the use of the already proven Graphite Design MSI (Material Stiffness Integration) design method as well as a new and unique application of graphite fiber ply angle alignment throughout the shaft structure. During the development phase of XDT, measurable performance gains were discovered through a more balanced distribution of the graphite fiber angles within the piles of the shaft design. This proprietary application of XDT has made the new G Series the most balanced, versatile high performance golf shaft available today.

The new G Series hybrid shafts are available in 85 grams in Regular, Stiff and X-Stiff flexes and 95 grams in Stiff and X-Stiff flexes. The G Series hybrid shafts have an MSRP of $89.00.

Graphite Design International manufactures the highest quality shafts in the world for Pure Distance and Perfect Accuracy. Graphite Design shafts can be seen in play by the best professional players on the PGA, Nationwide, Champions, Japan, European and LPGA tours. Graphite Design shafts reinforced its dominance on the Japan Tour, where it has claimed 163 consecutive graphite wood shaft brand counts — an unprecedented streak which dates to 2003. On the PGA Tour, Graphite Design shafts have helped professionals earn 80 victories since 2004 and millions of dollars in prize money. A total of 60 US distributors and 16 European and Asian distributors supply Graphite Design shafts to custom club fitters around the world.

CARLSBAD, Calif., April 12, 2012 – Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) today announced the April 13, 2012 retail availability of the new Odyssey® Flip Face™ line of adjustable putters. The Flip Face Putter features an innovative, patented system that allows golfers to change the face insert of the putter quickly and easily to fine-tune feel and performance. With the introduction of Flip Face, Odyssey, the #1 Putter in Golf®, further extends club customization options to all golfers, and meets an increasing demand for adjustable equipment that dials in a golfer’s game.

By using a screwdriver that doubles as a divot tool, golfers can unscrew a single component in the self-contained putter head to seamlessly rotate the putter face 180 degrees, allowing them to choose between two inserts-the new Metal-X® Insert or the popular White Ice® Insert. The two-sided putter face allows players to adjust their Odyssey putter for feel, speed and roll characteristics based on course and weather conditions.

“Engineering the Flip Face Putter to be a self-contained and conforming piece of adjustable equipment while also performing to the standards of the world’s best players was not a simple task,” said Austie Rollinson, Principal Designer, Odyssey Golf. “But we love a daunting challenge at Odyssey, and we think the Flip Face – with both a Metal-X and White Ice Insert – offers golfers a considerable advantage to dial in their game with a simple adjustment made before the round begins.”

Featuring a satin chrome finish for a clean, premium look, the Flip Face Putter will be available in three popular Odyssey models: the #1, a rounded heel-toe weighted blade putter with a crank-neck hosel and full-shaft offset; the #5, a rounded mallet putter with a single bend shaft and full-shaft offset; and the #9, a toe-weighted, heel-shafted, flanged blade putter with a long hosel and half-shaft offset.

Among the early adopters to Flip Face was PGA Tour Professional Stuart Appleby, who put the #5 model in play early in the 2012 season. “I really like the look of the Flip Face, and it reminds me of the license plates on James Bond’s car that used to flip around,” Appleby said. “I like the Metal-X insert so much; I love that firm feel. But it’s nice having the option to switch to the White Ice insert if you want to.”

“I also think it shows that Odyssey as a brand is always pushing to develop new things and leading the way when it comes to putter innovation,” Appleby said. “It’s a very cool design.”

Each Flip Face Putter comes standard with a Lamkin® 3GEN® Pistol Grip, made of Lamkin’s proprietary 3GEN material, which is their softest synthetic rubber compound and reduces vibration without dulling the feel of the putt. The material allows golfers to keep their forearms relaxed, apply very light grip pressure, and minimize hand tension for smooth, consistent strokes.

The Flip Face putters will be available on April 13 for a new product introduction retail price of $349.

About the Metal-X Insert
With a lightweight aluminum face in front of a urethane backer layer, the Metal-X Insert provides golfers the crisp feedback of a metal striking surface with the benefits of a softer feel for optimal touch. Additionally, the lightweight aluminum outer layer on the Metal-X Insert has a face pattern unlike any other putter in golf, with oval depressions that create a mechanical lock with the ball’s pocked surface at impact. This mechanical lock creates more friction, which delivers a lower launch with optimized topspin for reduced skidding and the truest roll through steady ball deceleration. The urethane inner layer provides soft touch and saves weight to optimize performance. Together, the two layers combine for crisp responsiveness and sound.

About the White Ice Insert
Developed in tandem with Tour Pros and in step with evolving golf ball technology, Odyssey’s multi-layer White Ice Insert has been fine tuned in the Flip Face line of putters to enhance sound, responsiveness and consistency. Already wildly popular on Tour and among amateur golfers, White Ice’s inner core is firmer and stiffer to enhance feel and resiliency, supporting distance control. Additionally, the insert’s face surface has been roughened to increase friction with softer golf balls, promoting a better forward roll and a more appealing sound at impact.

Odyssey is the number one putter across the world’s major professional tours in wins, usage and top-10 finishes.

CARLSBAD, Calif., April 11, 2012 – Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) today introduced its new udesign™ by Callaway personalization and customization platform. udesign by Callaway, an online customization tool, gives golfers purchasing its RAZR Fit® Driver the unprecedented ability to design their own version of the Company’s hot new club that is already in the hands of Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and Alvaro Quiros.

Featuring an innovative and easy-to-use online interface, golfers can visitwww.callawaygolf.com/udesign to select their own color choices on RAZR Fit’s clubhead and grip, as well as a myriad of shaft model and other custom configurations. udesign by Callaway presents the opportunity to design one of more than 70,000 unique versions of the award-winning RAZR Fit driver, giving golfers the ability to express their individualism on the course like never before.

“Golf is already the most personalized sport there is in terms of custom equipment options, and our new udesign by Callaway platform brings personalization to a new and exciting place,” said Jeff Colton, SVP Global Brand and Product, Callaway Golf. “The opportunity to design your very own driver in the colors of your favorite team, alma mater or whatever you happen to feel looks best has never been offered on a mass scale. Our research and instincts show that this level of personalization and customization is what golfers want, and we’re excited to be the first Brand in golf to offer it.”

Accessible to virtually build RAZR Fit drivers for both Men and Ladies, the udesign by Callaway process begins with the selection of a right-handed or left-handed clubhead and a range of loft and color choices. With each selection, the RAZR Fit image on screen modifies in real time to embody the latest design choice. After making a color selection, advanced customization options detailing the choice of stock or after-market shaft, its flex, length, grip model and wraps follow. When finished, each user can view multiple angles of their configuration and also send their unique RAZR Fit design to friends and contacts via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Email through a dedicated share function.

Recently introduced to Callaway’s staff professionals and brand ambassadors, the udesign by Callaway platform has sent a charge of excitement through a team that was already thrilled with RAZR Fit’s performance and look. San Diego native Phil Mickelson chose powder blue and gold in honor of the Chargers. Callaway Staff Professional Alvaro Quiros, now famous for using a RAZR Fit to drive a ball 300+ yards over Las Vegas’ iconic Fountains of Bellagio, got his first look at udesign by Callaway’s options this past week in Augusta. “Give me one in every color and I will match my driver with my apparel,” said Quiros, who in addition to being the longest hitter, is also a particularly fashion-forward player on Callaway’s staff.

Introduced in December and already a winner on the PGA and European Tours, the RAZR Fit Driver was named Editor’s Choice by Golf Digest’s annual “Hot List” equipment review. By combining the performance benefits gained from several proprietary technologies with an easy-to-understand adjustability system, Callaway is empowering players around the world to dial in their game with RAZR Fit.

Callaway’s RAZR Fit Driver has a new production introduction retail price of $399 and the udesign by Callaway personalization and customization features an additional fee of $50. Certain after-market shaft and grip choices may entail additional costs. The ability to make designs and place orders is immediately available; the first udesign RAZR Fit Drivers will begin shipping in early May 2012.
