The Alpha C830.2 Plasma Driver

Alpha Golf has updated the award winning C830.2 driver to use a newly developed and innovative plasma welding construction to optimally weld the face and body together for reduced head mass and a stronger, more solid construction. “Using the same C830.2 design, we removed unnecessary weight around the face usually introduced by normal welding processes for the Plasma driver. Heat treated to extreme temperatures and intensely formed with this highly effective new welding procedure developed by our engineers, the C830.2 Plasma driver is lighter and more solid for a solid sound and incredible feel at impact,” notes Dr. Jim Yeh, President and founder of Alpha Golf. “We have somewhat of a cult-following with the original C830.2 driver, not only with long drivers on the LDA tour but with aspiring players everywhere, and we expect even higher raves and reviews for the Plasma driver.

”Named as one of the “Best Drivers You’ve Never Heard Of” by Golf Digest magazine, the original C830.2 driver was also awarded the ‘Seal of Excellence’ by GolfTest USA and most recently, given the ‘Best of the Best’ award by Rankmark. Utilizing the Alpha plasma welding procedure, the C830.2 Plasma driver now provides players the benefits of forgiveness, distance, and accuracy with an incredibly strong and solid construction.

A Super-thin SP700 titanium face featuring the maximum coefficient of restitution (COR) works together with a carefully crafted wide body construction. This allows for easier airborne launches, low backspin, and straighter and longer shots. The C830.2 Plasma driver is also designed using strategically engineered heel-to-toe weighting for increased rotational inertia allowing for resistance to twisting on off-center impacts.

Following the original C830.2 driver technology, the Plasma driver also utilizes an innovative Increased Target Design (ITD) face insert for a large sweet spot and super hotface. Alpha Golf, a special division of Kentsports Inc., has been making high-performance golf equipment since 2000. Picked up by Long Drivers on the LDA circuit almost from its inception, Alpha drivers have since dominated the LDA Tour, winning 6 RE/Max World Long Drive Championship titles and more than 50 Long Drive competitions world-wide.

Unrelenting Performance.

The Alpha C830.2 Plasma is specifically designed to deliver distance and workability without sacrificing accuracy. Proven with multiple Long Drive Championship wins, the C830.2 technology utilizes an innovative Increased Target Design (ITD) face insert for a large sweet spot and super hot face. Plasma welding technology is used to reduce unnecessary weight around the face to produce an extremely solid and lighter constructed head for an incredible feel upon impact

Super-thin SP700 titanium face features the maximum coefficient of restitution for the highest energy transfer ratio allowed by the USGA Strategically engineered heel-to-toe weighting for increased rotational inertia  Large 460cc head produces a very high moment of inertia for resistance to twisting on off center impacts  Strategically positioned center of gravity for boring trajectories  Carefully crafted wide body construction allows easier airborne launches, low backspin, and straighter and longer shots  Uniformly thin outer face with consistent flexibility across the face to achieve maximum COR for off center hits. A wide and tall effective hitting area provides a generous sweet spot zone.
